The GTools software suite consists of two software tools, PLAYíR and
JAMMíR. These tools are designed to operate any of Binary Acoustic
Technologies ultrasonic transmitter products.
PLAYíR is a file playback tool. It allows full bandwidth recordings to
be played back in the original ultrasonic frequency range. It is
primarily intended to be used in bio-acoustic applications such as bat
calling and acoustic environment simulation. It is capable of playing
back files recorded by SPECTíR,
SPECTíR Mobile, SonoBat
or BatSound (www.batsound.com).
PLAYíR also includes a test tone generator that is useful to test
ultrasonic monitoring equipment and bat detectors.
JAMMíR is an acoustic masking application. It generates broadband
acoustic noise in an attempt to ďjamĒ the ultrasonic frequency range.
It is primarily intended to be used in bio-acoustic applications that
intend to deny or reduce bat echolocation capability. JAMMíR supports
three different ultrasonic jamming techniques. It also provides the
operator control over the jamming intensity and the frequency bands
