The DPA20-SP is a portable ultrasonic generator that is designed to work with ultra-wide bandwidth super tweeters such as the BAT SP-01. It employs a ultra-wide bandwidth amplifier that is capable of driving a four or eight Ohm super tweeter with up to twenty Watts of power.  This is sufficient to drive an SP-01 or similar super tweeter to up to 110 dB SPL at one meter.

The DPA20-SP is designed to be operated by a Windows based lap-top computer.  It connects a lap-top through a high speed USB 2.0 interface.  The bundled GTools playback software allows the user to select between prerecorded files and play them back through the ultrasonic transmitter.  The software supports the industry standard WAV file format and works with files generated by SPECT’R as well as others.

Because of its ultra-wide bandwidth capability, the DPA20-SP is a very versatile generator that is suited to a wide variety of bio-acoustic studies including: bats, rodents, birds and insects.
